Terms of Use

What using this blog means

Reading Marriedtodoctors, sharing its pages or writing to it means you accept the terms below. They are meant to be simple: the blog offers ideas for couples living with a medical career, and you remain responsible for how you use them. Questions can go to [email protected].

General information, not professional advice

Articles on physician marriages, family finances and work-life balance are general information and personal opinion. They are not financial, tax, legal, medical or therapeutic advice, and they do not create any advisory relationship. Loan terms, tax treatment, insurance products and employment rules vary by place and change over time, and your household’s situation will differ from any example. Before making decisions about debt, investments, contracts, relocation or your wellbeing, speak with a qualified adviser, counsellor or doctor. If you or someone close to you is in distress, contact local emergency or crisis services rather than relying on a blog.

Who owns the content

The text, structure and original material of the blog belong to the operator or are used with permission. You may read it, quote a short passage with a clear mention of the source, and share links. Copying full articles, republishing them or using them for profit requires written permission.

Using the blog properly

Do not attempt to break into the blog, overload it with automated traffic, plant harmful code, harvest reader details or use it to send spam. Nothing on the blog may be used to harass a spouse, a colleague or another reader. Access may be restricted where that is needed to protect the blog and its readers.

What you send us

If you email a correction, question or topic idea, you confirm you have the right to share it and that it contains no confidential patient information. You allow us to read it and use the idea to improve the blog, with no duty to reply or publish.

Advertising, affiliate links and outside sites

The blog may show advertising and may include affiliate links, which can earn the operator a small commission at no added cost to you. A commission never decides what an article concludes about a budgeting tool, a loan product or a book. A blog on couples and medical careers may point readers to things like budgeting tools, loan or insurance providers, childcare resources or professional bodies. Those sites sit outside our control, and we cannot vouch for their prices, offers, advice or content, so compare options and check details yourself.

Warranties and liability

Marriedtodoctors is offered in its current state, with no promise that every page is free of gaps. To the extent the law allows, the operator does not promise that it will be accurate, complete or uninterrupted, and is not liable for losses arising from using it or acting on its articles, including financial decisions. Nothing here removes rights you hold under the law that cannot be limited, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Changes and severability

These terms and the blog may be revised whenever the operator sees fit, and a revision takes effect as soon as it appears on this page. If any part of them is found unenforceable, the remainder stays in force.
